Universitas Trunojoyo Madura

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the morphophonemic pattern of the geminate structure of the Madurese language used by some students with special needs at Keleyan State Primary School, Socah-Bangkalan, Madura. Madurese is a regional language that is quite unique among many other regional languages in Indonesia. One of the uniqueness of the Madurese language is the geminate element which is rarely found in other regional languages. Geminate often appears as a form of language representation of meaning. For non-ABK Madurese speakers, the use of geminate is commonplace, but for children with special needs in Madura, the presence of geminate in the structure of their mother tongue raises new difficulties in the language learning process, especially the emergence of morphophonemic patterns in the geminate structure itself. Therefore, this paper focuses on the morphophonemic patterns of geminate structures that appear in Madurese speech in children with special needs.
This research was conducted using a listening and proficient method that focuses on lingual data of children with special needs. Based on the research results, it was found that the level of homogeneity in the morphophonemic process of both ABK and non ABK speeches. This morphophonemic process includes phoneme occurrence, phoneme release, phoneme pulsation, phoneme change, and phoneme shift. However, the morphophonemic process in ABK can be said to be more varied, with the emergence of various new phonemes that do not come from one language environment, to the repetition of the morphophonemic process in the vocabulary that experiences gemination.

OVERCOMING CHILDREN^S BOREDOM DURING ONLINE LEARNING WITH CROSSWORD PUZZLE
SITI MUTIATUN

UNIVERSITAS TRUNOJOYO MADURA

Abstract

The pandemic period, which has not yet been determined how long it will end, requires children (students) to learn from home. Those who are used to learning and playing with their friends are forced to enjoy their solitude for an indefinite period of time. Many of them think that this is a vacation. So they think there is no need for a teaching and learning process like in school. However, their assumption must be broken with the demands of the material and learning assignments from a teacher who cannot meet directly. They are required to continue learning even without meeting face to face. From this, the possibility that what will happen is the level of boredom in children that will increase with limited and monotonous learning activities. This requires teachers or parents who act as teachers to overcome the child^s boredom by using different learning media than usual. The crossword puzzle is quite helpful media in solving children^s boredom during online learning because with this media children think while playing words in learning.

But Indonesian language also been an obstacle for students in developing language skills. This was probably because students depended on Indonesian language as their daily conversation, and difficult to explain a topic in foreign language.

Muh. Fauzi, M.Pd, Prof. Dr. Martini Jamaris, M.Sc. Ed, Dr. Khaerudin, M.Pd

Universitas Negeri Jakarta

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design a distance learning strategy based on interactive online test media on discrete mathematics material to improve student motivation and learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic. The low motivation of students to learn mathematics is caused by the paradigm of mathematics which is not a core subject in the informatics department which requires mathematics teaching staff to use new strategies and media to increase student learning motivation. The research method used is the mix method which begins with developing a distance learning strategy based on an interactive online game test and then ends with a test of effectiveness with the experimental method. The results of strategy development include methods, media, and time management. The resulting method is Synchronous in the form of face-to-face virtual discussions and Asynchronous in the form of material arranged in a Learning Management System (LMS), while the media developed is LMS. From the experimental results, it was found that the significant value of paired samples test was 0.00 <0.05, which means that there were differences in student learning outcomes in the experimental class and the control class. The average value of the experimental class is 84.04 and the control class is 66.35, which means that the learning outcomes of students who use distance learning based on interactive online test media of discrete mathematics are better than conventional methods. Then from the results of observations and student responses to distance learning strategies based on interactive online test media were declared valid and effective.

The Implementation of Government Regulation No. 22/2016 on the Ideal Composition of the Free Learning Implementation Plan
Albitar Septian Syarifudin

Universitas Trunojoyo Madura

Abstract

The free RPP is a new idea from the Ministry of Education and Culture as an effort to facilitate learning. Various attempts were made by policy makers to formulate an independent RPP in accordance with Indonesian education standards. Government Regulation No.22 of 2016 as a standard for implementing education is still a guideline in the preparation of the independent RPP because there is no new government regulation regarding process standards. An independent RPP is packaged in the form of a single sheet containing the supporting components of teaching and learning activities. This makes the preparation of an independent RPP requires in-depth analysis because the composition is getting denser, even more so, until now there has been no standardized form of an independent RPP. In this article, we will examine the ideal form of an independent RPP when viewed from the aspect of national education standards, namely implementation standards as reflected in Government Regulation no. 22 of 2016.

The results of the research findings state that the application of moral education is very lacking, especially in the millennial generation. The importance of moral education and human rights are two components that are interrelated. Especially in the millennial generation who are increasingly dynamic and continue to develop due to technological advances. This phenomenon has an impact especially on the application of the independent campus concept in Indonesia. The urgency of strengthening moral and human rights education is a challenge in efforts to increase the creation of a new curriculum based on moral and human rights education combined with the use of ICT without eliminating the principles of the values of the Indonesian nation.

The Uniqueness of Japanese Passive Voice -A New Approach to Understanding Japanese Passive Voice-
Andi Irma Sarjani, Yumna Rasjid, Ifan Iskandar

Universitas Negeri Jakarta

Abstract

As is well known, Japanese passive sentences structurally include ^direct passive sentences^ which have their equivalent in active sentences, and ^indirect passive sentences^ which have no equivalent in active sentences. Direct passive is expressed by the prefix ^di-^ in Indonesian passive sentence, but indirect passive cannot be expressed by the prefix ^di-^ and it seems difficult for Indonesian Japanese learners. Indirect passive does not exist in many languages, including in English and somehow in the Indonesian language, too. This paper aims to know why do Japanese people use passive voice to convey events or incidents, what functions does the passive distraction voice have different from the active voice, and to clarify about the differences and similarities between Japanese and Indonesian passive sentences. These points may be obvious to Japanese native speakers in some sense, but it will be such a great difficulty for Indonesian learners of Japanese to learn and use. Through this paper result, in which using a descriptive-qualitative method, there are four main conditions in Japanese direct passive sentences, namely the speaker^s point of view, conditions for changing conditions, conditions for specificity, and conditions for losses. In Japanese, if one of the four conditions has been fulfilled (or two or more conditions), then the passive voice can be accepted. Also, Japanese learners must understand that sentences with the Indonesian prefix ^di-^ do not automatically become passive sentences in Japanese.

Abstract

A good and smart democratic society has to consider its citizens and the environment. However, an attitude of individualism comes to the fore since the feeling of being capable in dealing with everything of each individual becomes serious behavior. This behavior leads to participation deviation and reduction. Accordingly, the development of civic disposition and civic participation among the young generation has to be considered to create a good society. Volunteering experience in various activities is believed in giving a positive impact on establishing the characters and participation of young citizens. In regards to this issue, the study aims to determine the role and relationship of Volunteering Experience in strengthening civic disposition and civic participation. A case study under qualitative research was conducted to collect the necessary data of 10 participants. The result of the study shows that volunteering experience gives a positive impact towards civic disposition in which the desire of being helpful and of providing benefits and participation is increased. This situation leads to better solidarity, interaction, and communication. The involvement of the individual in the volunteering experience seems to establish a good social relationship, upgraded knowledge, and new skills. This is both a positive psychological and social influence (Wilson, 2000)
