OVERCOMING CHILDREN^S BOREDOM DURING ONLINE LEARNING WITH CROSSWORD PUZZLE SITI MUTIATUN

Abstract
The pandemic period, which has not yet been determined how long it will end, requires children (students) to learn from home. Those who are used to learning and playing with their friends are forced to enjoy their solitude for an indefinite period of time. Many of them think that this is a vacation. So they think there is no need for a teaching and learning process like in school. However, their assumption must be broken with the demands of the material and learning assignments from a teacher who cannot meet directly. They are required to continue learning even without meeting face to face. From this, the possibility that what will happen is the level of boredom in children that will increase with limited and monotonous learning activities. This requires teachers or parents who act as teachers to overcome the child^s boredom by using different learning media than usual. The crossword puzzle is quite helpful media in solving children^s boredom during online learning because with this media children think while playing words in learning.
