Abstract
Environmental education for university level, especially in Engineering faculty, is an important issue. One of environmental issues that becomes a great concern is related to flood disaster mitigation. The purpose of this study is to describe environmental attitude (EA) and Pro-Environmental Behavior (PEB) among Engineering faculty students. The description is utilized to develop a Flood Disaster Mitigation based on Online Learning (DIFMOL) model. The research method used is descriptive with survey technique. The instruments are distributed online using google form with a sample size of 139 students who are taken by simple random sampling. The results show that the students^ EA scores are in a very high category (89.68) and the students^ PEB is in a moderate category (60.53). It indicates that the Engineering faculty students still require an educational model development to cope with flooding. One that can be developed is the DIFMOL model. In general, aspects need to be emphasized in the DIFMOL model are those related to flood disaster mitigation efforts in urban areas. The conclusion of this study is that EA is very high and PEB is still in the medium category. The DIFMOL model innovation requires further development in the next research.

A STUDY ON THE INTERACTION PATTERN OF AN INDONESIAN BILINGUAL CLASSROOM Nanik Retnowati
Universitas Ibn Khaldun Bogor
Abstract
Bilingual education has provided the evidence to improve not only students^ content knowledge but also their language performance. This ethnography of communication design study is investigating teacher-student interaction pattern in an Indonesian elementary school implementing bilingual education. The aims are to find the pattern and get the description about what the teacher and students are doing in the interaction. Teacher and students^ utterances are the main data which are recorded, transcribed, and analyzed. Lemke^s concept on triadic dialog IRE (Initiation-Response-Evaluation) and IRF (Initiation -Response-Feedback) is used to identify the interaction patterns. Each element of the pattern was analyzed using Flanders Interaction Analysis Categori (FIAC) and speech act approach to classroom discourse analysis. The study found three pattern- namely IRF,IRE, and Non-IRF/IRE. Teacher was doing many acts in Initiation such as questioning, suggesting, and instructing. Students^ positive and negative responses are realized in different acts. Feedback was performed ranged from once to seven times feedback in one unit analysis which implies a meaning negotiation process. This study also features an illustration on teacher-student effort in achieving both content and language knowledge in a specific discourse type, a bilingual classroom. The findings exhibit that teacher-student interaction is systematic. Further study should try to make a controlled experiment for optimal interaction which can be applied by language education practitioners in any different setting.

Abstract
Environmental education during Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic requires an innovation, especially related to recycling problems. Abilities that must be acquired by students regarding recycling are Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The purpose of this study was to measure students^ HOTS using Higher Order Thinking Skills Assessment based on Environmental Problem of Recycling (HOTS-AEP-Recycling). The research method used was a descriptive method using survey techniques. The research sample included 58 male students and 173 female students from various universities in Jakarta, Semarang, Makassar, and Lampung. The results showed that the students^ HOTS score was in a very low category in both male students (18.88) and female students (21.20). It implied that students^ knowledge must be improved. The Environmental Supplement Book of Recycling (ESBOR) is one of media innovations that can be utilized for environmental education during COVID-19. Learning media innovation becomes important to support various abilities in 21st century. The study concluded that the students^ HOTS score measured using HOTS-AEP-Recycling was in the very low category so it required an improvement through the development of ESBOR in the future.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of discursive and gender approaches to the critical thinking skills of mathematics and self-concept students. This research is a quasi-experiment research with factorial design 2x2. The sample of research is 126 students of class IX SMP from two different schools. The results of this study are the critical mathematical thinking skills that are treated with discursive approaches are better than those treated with conventional approaches. Male students are better suited to using conventional approach learning whereas female students are better suited to using discursive approach to improve the critical thinking ability of mathematics and student self-concept. This is because the discursive approach emphasizes mathematical activity, reflection on mathematical activity, and debate/discussion on mathematical activity. It is in accordance with the characteristics of women who are able to muffle their emotions through discussion and have better verbal skills than male students.

DERADICALIZATION IN INDONESIAN CONTEMPORARY NOVELS THEMED ON TERRORISM Ahmad Sunardi (a), Teguh Supriyanto (b), Fathur Rokhman (b), Agus Nuryatin (b)
Politeknik Harapan Bersama Tegal
Universitas Negeri Semarang
Abstract
The high value of a literary work is not only the beauty of writing, but must have a role in real world problems through language arts. Language is a part of culture that has influence and power on its users. As a culture, language records and appreciates social problems including terrorism events that exist in the world and especially in Indonesia. The problem of terrorism which is sown by radicalism must be eradicated and prevented from an early age in a comprehensive manner, including through literary works.
This research is a qualitative research with a sociolinguistic approach. The object of study is the novel Demi Allah Aku Seorang Teroris by Demian Dematra and the novel Naksir Anak Teroris by Aries. The method used is dialectic.
Deradicalization in the novel Demi Allah Aku Seorang Teroris is that someone who commits terror can still be corrected and brought back to the right path. The deradicalization process was carried out by Prakasa to Kemala, Kemala returned to the right path, and even spread kindness and knowledge to the public about anti-terrorism. Meanwhile, the novel Naksir Anak terorist gives a message that society must also learn so that it is not easy to accuse someone of being a terrorist, and this requires deradicalization education in society. Isson as the main character in this novel is very disadvantaged by being labeled a terrorist family and this can be used as a reflection for today^s society to be careful about labeling other people as heretical or terrorist. The conclusion is that radicalism as the origin of terrorism can be prevented and minimized through deradicalisation in a literary work.
