NEED ANALYSIS FOR E-MODULE BASED ON A CONTEXTUAL TEACHING LEARNING INTEGRATED OF CHARACTER BUILDING FOR WRITING SCIENTIFIC PAPERS

Abstract

Writing scientific papers is a work that must be made by all university students. The character of honesty is one of the basic characteristics that the generation must have. It is also an important key to writing scientific papers. During the current Covid-19 pandemic, concerns in building and evaluating character in learning are quite a problem. For this reason, lecturers are expected to be able to create teaching materials that build honesty in students. The need analysis of e-module based on the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach which is integrated with character education for writing scientific papers is considered very important in creating honesty in students for compiling their works. To develop teaching materials (e-modules) it is necessary to pay attention to the skills that must be possessed or the needs of current students. This research is the initial part of development research. This study is aimed to determine the need for teaching materials in accordance with current learning developments. This is done by analyzing student characteristics, curriculum, and learning materials to write scientific papers. From the three analyses, it was obtained that it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of e-modules based on the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach which is integrated in character education.
