Abstract

Higher product quality is one of the main challenges for any manufacturing industry. In this research final surface roughness was analyzed and optimized with a standard value of the turning process i.e. 0.5-6 &#956-m. The experiment has investigated the effect of some factors such as spindle speed, feed rate, depth of cut, cooling, and carriage traversing wheel. Each factor has two levels. The experiment has been conducted using the L8 design of experiment Taguchi method. The results have been analyzed using ANOVA and Matlab software. Factor E, i.e. carriage traversing wheel, influences the surface roughness of ST 37.

LEGAL PROTECTION OF CONSUMERS THAT OBTAIN MONEY FROM ILLEGAL ONLINE LOAN
Muhammad Reza Syariffudin Zaki & Kevin Girvan Igorio

Bina Nusantara University

Abstract

OJK supports the government^s call to ask the public not to pay arrears and interest if they have already borrowed money from unlicensed online loans or illegal loans., So therefore illegal online loans are not a valid civil legal object and do not meet the legal objective requirements of an agreement in article 1320 civil code to make an agreement. Based on an analysis above, agreement between online illegal loan and consumers is invalid. Thus, it is considered that there has never been an agreement before and consumers do not have to pay the money that they got from online illegal loan. This research is entitled ^Legal Protection of Consumers That Obtain Money From Illegal Online Loan^, by using normative legal research methods through a statutory approach. The research question is what are the legal basis for the consumers not need to pay for loans provided by illegal online loans? It can be concluded that there are regulation from civil code and POJK which governed about the requirements for the entities to get permit before doing a transaction with the consumers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause disease in humans and animals. In humans, it generally causes respiratory tract inflammation, ranging from the common cold to serious illnesses such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). In Indonesia, there were 4,242,532 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 143,299 people who died from COVID-19. For Gorontalo Province, there were 11.823 positive cases of COVID-19. Gorontalo Regency is one of the areas affected by COVID-19, with 373 confirmed positives. In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Gorontalo Regency government urges residents to practice social distancing in all activities to avoid the transmission of COVID-19. But the government^s appeal was not easily accepted by residents, especially in Bulota Village.

The purpose of this study was to obtain in-depth data regarding the attitude of implementing social distancing as an effort to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in Bulota Village, Telaga Jaya District, Gorontalo Regency. This research uses a qualitative research design with a case study approach. The method used is observation and in-depth interviews and documentations.

Results found in Bulota Village regarding Social Distancing, namely that people do not apply social distancing, stay at home, avoid crowds and practice good hygiene correctly. People assume that by not communicating and making physical contact with people outside the village of Bulota, they will not be infected with the virus. They even think that COVID-19 is a hoax. It is recommended that the Community Health Center and health workers carry out socialization related to the COVID-19 virus and provide education to the community, both village heads and local hamlet heads so that they can make strict rules and apply health protocols because some people do not understand COVID-19 prevention and did not accept the advice given.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a situation where the population^s stress level increased, but the possibility to receive direct mental health services has become limited. Stress is a combination of stressors, stress reactivity, and strain (Greenberg, 2017). If left untreated, stress can significantly influence physical and mental health. Coping strategies can be done variously, including utilizing technology. This preliminary study aims to find an overview of stress and technology use as a coping method in the Urban population before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Content analysis from 153 participants showed that 82.4% experienced external stressors. Moreover, 41% of external stressors resulted from work and 34% from life. Furthermore, 60.13% of participants used emotional-focused coping, and 5.23% used problem-focused coping. Forty-four percent of participants reported changes in coping strategies before and during the pandemic. In terms of technology use, 69.28% have been using technology or application as a coping method. Out of 30.72% of participants who did not use technology before the pandemic, 65.96% switched to using technology to reduce strain. Only 10.46% did not use technology as a coping method before and during the pandemic. Applications that were used to reduce strain before and during pandemics can be categorized: e-commerce, gaming, health, instant messaging, social media, messaging, productivity, streaming, and others. This study implied that individuals in the urban areas tend to use technology as a coping method during the pandemic. Possibilities for the development of a web or smartphone-based application to cope with stress independently were discussed.

Abstract

More than 95% of postpartum mothers want to postpone their next pregnancy or do not want to get pregnant again, but they do not use contraception so that there is an unintended pregnancy that ends in a risky pregnancy or unsafe abortion. Counseling about family planning during the postpartum period can meet the needs of maternal contraception. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of family planning counseling using audiovisual media on the use of IUD contraception in postpartum mothers. Method: The research design applied Randomized Controlled Trial. Subjects were selected using consecutive sampling with a total sample of 32 people in each group (control and intervention). Data analysis was carried out with bivariate analysis using a non-parametric test because the data were not normally distributed with a significance level of p value <0.05, and the multivariate analysis used logistic regression. Results: The proportion of IUD contraceptive use in postpartum mothers in the intervention group was 17 (53.1%), and in the control group it reached 8 (25%). Counseling using audiovisual media in postpartum mothers had a significant effect on IUD contraceptive use (p <0.05) and OR 3.40 (95% CI 1.18-9.80). The outside variable that influenced the use of IUD contraception in postpartum mothers was the role of the husband. Conclusion: Family planning counseling using audiovisual media was effective in influencing IUD contraceptive use in postpartum mothers.
