Abstract

COVID-19 has an impact on people^s welfare, it can cause psychological problems for pregnant women and postpartum mothers, one of which is anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of anxiety of pregnant women and postpartum mothers during the COVID-19 pandemic at Dr. M.M. Dunda Hospital. This study used a quantitative descriptive, the population of all pregnant women and postpartum women in Dr. M.M. Dunda Hospital. The sample was 32 pregnant women and 35 postpartum women, using the Quota Sampling technique.The instrument used was The Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scala questionnaire and used univariate analysis. The results obtained are pregnant women and postpartum women during the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority experienced mild-moderate anxiety. Suggestions for Dr. M.M. Dunda Hospital is expected to further increase good counseling efforts, especially for pregnant women and postpartum mothers so that there is no anxiety for pregnant women and postpartum mothers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
