Abstract
One potential reason for the strong performance could be that the performance test items were given in a realistic setting, which may have aided the elementary science instructors in addressing them due to their familiarity with the situations. The inadequate conceptual comprehension exhibited by the elementary science teachers in our study is a significant cause for concern and necessitates immediate action from science teacher education and professional development programmes. Therefore, we suggest implementing a direct intervention in teacher education programmes for primary science teachers to specifically focus on science process skills and higher-order thinking abilities (HOTS). This intervention aims to enhance the conceptual knowledge of science processes and HOTS among teachers. This study investigated the conceptual comprehension of science process skills and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) among science teachers. The sample consisted of 17 elementary science instructors from institutions in Magelang Regency. The participants consisted of primary school science teachers from the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades who were registered for the study. Information was gathered via a questionnaire. The findings indicated that elementary science teachers possessed a restricted conceptual comprehension of science process skills and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). Conversely, they exhibited superior performance in science process skills and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). Most participants were unable to accurately define the science process abilities and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). The findings have ramifications for the fields of science education, pedagogy, and teacher training.

RELIGIOUS LITERACY MODEL BASED ON THE SCL APPROACH IN LEARNING PAI COURSES AT UNSIKA Iwan Hermawan- Khalid Ramdhani- Kasja Eki Waluyo- Oyoh Bariah
Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang
Abstract
The purpose of education is to humanize humans to be active, creative, and innovative in developing their respective potentials, which is not just teaching knowledge and understanding but must be able to direct and strengthen morally, religiously, and socially correct attitudes and behavior. Referring to this commitment, the religious literacy model based on the Student-Centered Learning (SCL) approach is a learning process that is considered appropriate to deliver students to these educational goals. In addition, this model is in line with the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy because students are given freedom as well as challenges and opportunities to develop independence through the SCL approach in seeking and finding knowledge through reality and field dynamics such as ability requirements, real problems, social interaction, collaboration, self-management, performance demands, targets, and achievements. They start with careful planning in formulating a religious literacy model based on the SCL approach. Through a qualitative approach and descriptive field research method, researchers can understand the perceptions, motivations, actions, and others holistically experienced by the research subjects, then described naturally in words.

Abstract
This research aimed to examine the relationship between gender and class level with parental support for elementary school/madrasah ibtiadiyah students. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to 150 students and were analyzed using Dummy Variable Regression with SPSS 27. The results of the dummy variable regression test indicated that there was no significant association between gender and parental support, with a value of t=0.141 and Sig.=0.888. However, other data results indicated that there was a significant association between grade level and parental support, with a value of t=2.052 and Sig.=0.043. Parental support included informative, emotional, instrumental, assessment, financial, and spiritual support. Of the six types of parental support, assessment support had a very strong relationship with a value of t=5.648 and Sig.=<0.001. Therefore, this study concluded that parental support was not influenced by gender but was influenced by grade level. The results of this study suggested that parents maintained gender equality by continuing to provide support to their children regardless of gender. Another suggestion for future researchers was that there needed to be special treatment for children so that support for low-class and high-class students could be equal.

The effectiveness of the Adiwiyata program in enhancing environmental problem-solving skills Galih Istiningsih- Dhuta Sukmarani- Iis Yeni Sugiyarti: Nurul Utami Putri
Muhammadiyah Magelang University
Swadaya Gunung Jati University
Abstract
This research examined the effectiveness of the Adiwiyata Program in fostering an environmentally conscious school culture in Magelang. The study utilized quantitative research employing survey techniques. It was conducted in twelve primary schools in the Magelang District, involving 316 participants, including school principals/vice principals, Adiwiyata coordinators, administrative staff, and students. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and observations.
The research findings indicated that overall, the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program falls under the effective category. This suggests that, in general, all four Adiwiyata components were effective. However, the environmentally aware school policy only accounted for an 11% influence, while the environmentally friendly school culture held a 20% influence on environmental problem-solving skills. This was due to various factors, including the school policy related to vision and mission not being adequately socialized and understood by the entire school community, and the lack of habitual attitudes and behaviors regarding environmental concerns within the school culture.
In connection with this, Adiwiyata schools in the Magelang District need to intensify the dissemination and publication of environmental vision policies to the entire school community. Additionally, they should consistently foster environmental consciousness within the school and engage in environmental competitions.

Abstract
The implementation of science process skills and HOTS in the science subject in elementary schools is to involve children in various scientific processes, from learning theory, practicum, research, and making projects. Evaluation of science learning is currently still focused on mastering basic concepts and skills, which is carried out through written tests or conceptual knowledge tests. Although several schools have tried to evaluate using questions based on science process skills and HOTS, the items in elementary schools are still focused on the final result and do not emphasize the underlying process. This is characterized by questions that are only related to remembering definitions, facts, and concepts without exploring science process skills and HOTS. This qualitative research aims to understand the phenomenon of the research subject comprehensively through descriptions of sentences in specific natural situations. A content analysis is performed to generate repeatable and valid conclusions. The topic was the content of science process skills and HOTS from the books of teachers and students for the Independent Curriculum class IV SD/MI Science subject. Documentation techniques are used to read and record books, and findings are recorded carefully. The result is the content of science process skills and HOTS from the book Center for Curriculum and Books of the Research and Development Agency and Books of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya No. 4, Central Jakarta. The most important indicators of science process skills are the observation of essential questions (PE), group exercises (LB), and let^s reflect (MR). Students are asked to name the parts of the plant body, understand the function of each part, and relate the function of these body parts to what plants need to grow, stay healthy, and reproduce. For HOTS, the most common sequences are creative on essential questions (PE), let^s try (MM), and let^s reflect (MR). Students are given literacy assignments to do, told to take test glasses and make observations, and then asked to compare their results with the results of their group mates. Involve students in group discussions by asking them to talk about other methods they know could be used. The results of this study can be used to develop an assessment system that can be used to train teachers to help students develop science process skills and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) while studying.
