Nikmah Suryandari, Farida Nurul Rahmawati

Universitas Trunojoyo Madura

Abstract

This study examines the potential of mindful tourism as a tool for countering stereotypes of the Madurese people, a minority group in Indonesia. The Madurese have historically been marginalized and stigmatized, and their culture and way of life have been misrepresented in tourism marketing and promotion. The study begins with an overview of the Madurese people and the stereotypes they have faced, and then discuss the principles of mindful tourism and its potential to challenge these stereotypes. We also provide examples of how mindful tourism has been applied in Madurese communities and the benefits it has brought. The findings suggest that by adopting a mindful tourism approach, destination managers can work to improve the representation of the Madurese culture and promote a more authentic and respectful tourism experience for visitors, ultimately benefiting both the Madurese community and the tourists.

The Analysis of the Immigration Politicization Issue in France Based on the Issue Evolution Theory.
Sarra Rahoui

Department of law and political science, University of Szeged, Szeged, Hungary

Abstract

The growing number of immigrants in Europe and the eruption of the recent refugee crisis in 2015 raised several questions related to the issue of the integration of migrants. The scholarly attention remains, however, limited when examining whether or not there is any mechanical link between these questions and the impact of extreme right-wing parties on partisan change in party competition. Exploring recent elections in certain European countries, mainly France, was clear that the topic of immigration was often brought to electoral debates.
The present paper aims to examine the phenomenon of issue entrepreneurship and how the topic of immigration was invested in party competition while using France as an example to study the dynamics of issue competition within French elections. The research was conducted based on analyzing the issue evolution theory to study the behavior of party change in past elections. What can be concluded from this study is that the mobilization of an issue of crucial importance resulted in adopting a policy position that is substantially different from the mainstream status quo. Thus immigration transformed into a politicized topic that attracts voters. Therefore, this research can assist in the field of political science and can contribute to the area of immigration policies.

Abstract

Jayapura Regency is a strategic area in Eastern Indonesia, which is supported by natural resources in the agricultural sector and tourism potential. In managing natural resources, especially agriculture towards tourism is influenced by policies that erode the community into patterns that eliminate work culture systems, innovation systems, and low farmer knowledge. Therefore, holistic, thematic, integrative, and spatial governance is needed with an upstream initiation in the form of an independent village. This study aims to describe the concept of mechanisms and governance needed to encourage the growth of independent villages in Jayapura Regency within the limits of collaboration, involvement, and communication based on regional innovation systems. The research method uses a description of mechanisms and governance which is limited to five components, including partnerships, networks, and collaborations- Community presence and engagement- External communication strategy- Communication material- and Advocacy and policy involvement based on RIS. The study focus was carried out in Jayapura Regency with the target of independent villages in Sentani Timur District and Kemtuk Gresi District. The results show that the mechanism and governance model with the limitations of partnership, network, and collaboration- community and engagement- external communication strategy- communication material- and advocacy and policy engagement based on regional innovation systems can be implemented in independent village agrotourism. Dewi Quraisyin

Comunication Science, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura, Bangkalan, Indonesia

Abstract

For Madurese people, pesantren remain the main reference in finding educational institutions. The Madurese community^s trust in pesantren cannot be separated from the influence of the kiai as the founder. Kiai has the most important role in the development of a pesantren. As a founder, the kiai is the ^soul^ of the pesantren. Personal branding and professional image of a kiai will become a ^buzz^ in building public trust in the pesantren he leads. Personal branding and professional image of the founder will have a significant impact on the credibility and level of public trust in the pesantren. This will also make it easier to attract public interest in pesantren, as well as build wider connections and networks which will later provide many benefits for the sustainability of pesantren. Moreover, if the pesantren is a new pesantren which is in tight competition with other pesantren which previously had many in Madura and had a good reputation.
Founder competence (kiai) in religious scholarship, his dedication and integrity as an Islamic religious leader, and supported by other essential capabilities, will become a Unique Value Proposition (UVP) for a kiai. This UVP will form a reputation that will stick in the minds of the public as the personal branding and professional image of a kiai. personal branding and professional image will highlight the personal strength of the kiai to build reputation, build trust, and communicate the differentiation that the kiai has in the development of the pesantren they own. Kiai will appear as the ^face^ of his pesantren. This ^face^ will appear in society so that people choose the pesantren they lead to become a place of study for themselves or their children.
This qualitative research will examine the UVP owned by the founder of the Nahdlatut Ta^limiyah Pamekasan Madura Islamic boarding school, namely kiai Musleh Adnan. Kiai Musleh Adnan was previously a religious public speaker whose name was widely known by the public, especially in Madura. With the ability to deliver religious knowledge using simple, relaxed, and entertaining sentences but full of meaning and religious advice, kiai musleh is easily accepted by the public. For this reason, the pesantren, which has only been established since 2020, currently has more than seven hundred students and more than a thousand congregations in the sermons which are routinely carried out by the kiai every week.

Branding of the Sultanate of Bangkalan as a Halal Tourism Attraction in Bangkalan
Allyvia Camelia , Dewi Quraisyin

Universitas Trunojoyo Madura

Abstract

History-based tourism is a component in the field of tourism development which is currently being carried out more intensively because of the consideration that each region has a different and unique history that other regions do not have. Mackellar, 2006. Reported from various source, the existence of the Bangkalan region cannot be separated from the long history of the West Madura Kingdom. The West Madura Kingdom appeared for the first time in 1531 with the center of government in the Arosbaya Palace, Bangkalan.
In general, the process of developing tourist attractions takes place spontaneously and naturally without going through careful planning, through several stages as stated by Foster and Greenwood (in Pujaastawa, 2013), namely the stages of discovery, localresponse ,and institutionalization.stage the discovery is the stage of finding a place that has the potential to become a tourist attraction- The two stages of Local Response
are the stage of emergence of local responses or initiatives which are a continuation of the discovery stage- The three stages of institutionalization or institutionalization are a continuation of the stage of emergence of local responses and initiatives to develop the potential that emerges and exists around the location.
In the perspective of the tourism business, the development of the Bangkalan sultanate destinations is inversely proportional to the existence of religious tourism in Bangkalan. Apart from the different tourism characters, the segmentation of the religious tourism market is slightly more dominant in Bangkalan. Preliminary findings in the field show that tourism development, both from promotion and infrastructure,
leads to religious tourism. This is because the Bangkalan leader is from family . Thus, this research raises the issue of Branding as a Halal Tourism Attraction in Bangkalan. This needs to be done considering that Bangkalan is rich in potential but has not maximized the promotion process. Ideally, both historical or sultanate tourism potentials and religious tourism have the same package in terms of tourism development in an area.
The theory that will be used is Frank Jeffkin^s image theory, branding theory, marketing communication, and tourism feasibility study. The big concept of developing historical tourism or the Bangkalan sultanate in the future must continue to be developed. The method to be used is descriptive qualitative R. Kyin. Where this case study method is very suitable to be used to be able to explore findings in the field. The mandatory achievement target in this research is one article published in a national scientific journal accredited SINTA 4. Additional outputs are HKI, Integrated Marketing Communication or other outputs.

Abstract

The economy, tourism, and other industries have all been significantly impacted by Covid-19. Regulations make it tough to access social and transportation services, limiting Indonesian tourism. The number of tourist visits has decreased significantly, impacting hotels, restaurants and other tourism businesses to close both temporarily and permanently, and even many tourism activists have to be isolated. In order to support the government^s program in restoring tourism conditions, the latest strategies are being implemented in various tours in Indonesia. This study aims to examine post-covid-19 Indonesian tourism developments and strategies. Using Google Scholar, a literature study was conducted using a number of previously published scientific works that have been released between 2020 and 2022. The keywords used are ^tourism recovery strategy^ ^covid-19^ ^Indonesia^. The results of this study reveal that the recovery strategy for tourism has its own characteristics. The main strategies carried out include repairing and adding health protocol facilities and training according to CHSE standards. In several natural attractions such as Parangtritis, Pacitan, Labuhan, and Kelubi there are additional massive promotional strategies. In Karangsari agro-tourism, Blitar City and Watesari Village, there are additional strategies to increase and produce HR capacity. In religious tourism, such as in Madura, there is an additional role for the government in supporting the development of halal tourism and sharia travel, such as providing halal certificates to make it easier for Muslim tourists. In order to strengthen the tourism recovery strategy, more virtual tours are available for cultural tourism, such as Maluku and temple tourism.

Universiats Muhammadiyah Magelang

Abstract

This study aims to produce a socio-cultural-based community resilience model for the collective action of volunteers for the Merapi eruption disaster and examine the feasibility, effectiveness and practicality of a socio-cultural-based community resilience model for the collective action of volunteers for the Merapi eruption disaster. The Research conducted is a type of Research and development (R & D). The development model used refers to the modification of Cunningham^s Borg & Gall development model. The development procedure that has been taken includes six steps, namely: (1) identifying problems, (2) needs analysis, (3) designing products, (4) product revisions, (5) field testing, and (6) implementation. Research has been conducted on volunteer subjects in potentially disaster-prone areas of Merapi Eruption in Magelang Regency. A limited-scale trial was conducted on 21 volunteers, and a large-scale trial on 45 volunteers. Data collection methods used are tests, observations, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis is qualitative, descriptive percentage, paired t-test for limited scale test, and independent t-test for the wide-scale test. The results showed: the characteristics of the socio-cultural-based community resilience model with the characteristics of having main elements consisting of: syntactic, social system, reaction principle, support system elements, instructional impact and accompaniment. The product, namely the learning model produced, meets the specified learning model specifications, namely being able to complement existing products by focusing on thematic integration of disaster, contributing to the knowledge, attitudes and skills of disaster volunteers towards disasters, and building personal awareness with a social orientation. The validator assesses the feasibility level of the average value of model validation to have a score of 99.5 or 83%, which is in the very good category. The effectiveness of the socio-cultural-based community resilience model^s influence on disaster collective action is measured on a broad scale, with each model variable having a significance value of less than 0.05. This means that ho is rejected and accepted, thus stating that there are differences in collective action between groups taught by socio-cultural-based community resilience models and groups of volunteers taught by conventional learning models. The level of effectiveness is used in disaster volunteers^ knowledge, attitudes and collective action skills. This is shown from the results of the application of the model, where more than 85% of students have been able to have knowledge, attitudes and skills during disaster training.
