UNISNU JEPARA

Abstract

Sex education needs to be integrated into the world of education because of the increasing cases of sexual harassment caused by a lack of understanding about sex from an early age. At the partner school, namely SD IU Fadlun Nafis, there are problems with elementary school children^s behavior, including joking that leads to pornographic words and verbal bullying. Apart from that, teachers also have not utilized digital learning media in the teaching and learning process. Therefore, accompanying activities to create audio-visual based flashcard media are proposed as a solution to increase students^ understanding of sex education. Teachers are expected to increase creativity in providing learning media, especially those related to sexuality. The method used in this service includes five stages, namely socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring, and sustainability. The evaluation results show that partners feel capable of developing competence in creating innovative learning media for early childhood. Apart from that, sex education is important to teach to elementary school children, as many as 93.75% of couples agreed with this statement. The need for media was also approved by partners at 81.25%, and the importance of innovation in learning was also supported. The implementation of audio-visual based flashcard media by partners and the service team obtained results of 93.75%, which shows that audio-visual flashcard media is suitable for sex education material for elementary school children.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of teachers age and gender on their awareness of bullying in primary schools (SD/MI). The research adopts a quantitative descriptive approach and analysis of variance (ANOVA) to identify significant effects of these variables on teachers awareness of student bullying. The sample consists of 190 primary school teachers from Central Java, Indonesia, assessed using a specific instrument to measure their awareness of bullying behavior. Descriptive analysis indicates that female teachers have higher average awareness scores compared to male teachers across most age groups. The ANOVA results reveal that gender significantly affects teachers awareness of bullying, while the effect of age is not significant. The interaction between age and gender is also not significant. This study highlights the importance of considering demographic factors, particularly gender, in designing training programs to enhance teachers awareness of bullying. Further research is needed to understand the underlying mechanisms influencing this awareness and to explore effective intervention strategies.

Universitas Islam Sultan Agung Semarang

Abstract

Education is an essential need in human life, including in coastal areas that are vulnerable to tidal flooding. This study aims to analyze the adaptive strategies of Islamic educational institutions in coastal areas to ensure the sustainability of quality education. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and literature reviews. The findings show that Islamic educational institutions in coastal areas implement three main strategies: preventive, incidental, and rehabilitative. Preventive strategies include elevating buildings and planting mangroves, incidental strategies are carried out during floods such as pumping water and relocating items, while rehabilitative strategies involve cleaning up and repairing infrastructure after floods. Although these efforts maintain the continuity of the educational process, the strategies applied are still short-term. Therefore, further collaboration between educational institutions, the community, and the government is needed to enhance adaptive capacity to climate change and natural disasters.

Abstract

Abstract. Autism is a developmental disorder in children characterized by challenges in social interaction. This developmental disorder stems from severe, long-term neurobiological impairments, which significantly affect children^s expressive language skills. Expressive language ability is defined as the capacity to convey one^s desires through agreed-upon gestures or symbols. This study aims to analyze the impact of using the Gratif Educational Play Tool (Gerak dan Edukatif) based on occupational therapy on enhancing expressive language skills in children with autism. The research design employed is a one-group pretest-posttest model, with the study population consisting of children with special needs at KB Cinta Harapan in Jepara. A sample of 25 children with autism was selected through purposive sampling. Intervention was conducted using the Gratif Educational Play Tool, specifically designed to facilitate motor and cognitive activities to stimulate expressive language abilities in children. Data were collected through pre- and post-intervention expressive language tests, with results analyzed using the paired t-test to measure significant differences between pretest and posttest scores. The results showed a significant improvement in expressive language abilities among children with autism after receiving the Gratif-based occupational therapy intervention, with an increase of 15.72. This intervention proved effective in enhancing both verbal and non-verbal communication skills in children with autism, particularly in expressing their desires, emotions, and needs. The findings suggest that the Gratif Educational Play Tool can serve as an effective alternative medium to optimize the development of expressive language skills in children with autism within inclusive educational environments. Future research is recommended to incorporate a control group to further validate the effectiveness of this intervention on a broader scale.

Universitas Islam Nahdlatul Ulama Jepara

Abstract

Ma^had Aly is a higher education level of religious studies in pesantren institu-tions. The scientific concentration of Ma^had Aly is very diverse, including the concentration of al-Qur^an science. One of the Qur^anic studies that has urgen-cy and is studied in Ma^had Aly is qira^at al-Qur^an. This study aims to analyze the learning model of qira^at al-Qur^an at Ma^had Aly institutions. The re-search method used is qualitative. This research was conducted at Ma^had Aly takhassus al-Qur^an science in Central Java. The data collection techniques used are observation of the qira^at learning process, interviews, and documen-tation. The results of this study showed that learning model of qira^at in Ma^had Aly can be mapped on two models. Firstly, the classical qira^at learn-ing model. Learning of qira^at al-Qur^an is carried out in class, and becomes part of the Ma^had Aly curriculum. In this model, the qira^at material is taught by undergraduate educators from outside the pesantren. Secondly, a combina-tion of classical and private learning models. There are some Ma^had Aly im-plement qira^at learning classically, using special book teaching materials. In addition, mahasantri are also encouraged to carry out the process of practicing reading the verses of the Qur^an with the recitation of the qira^at sab^ah imam in the presence of teacher. This stage is carried out individually in front of the teacher, known as the musyafahah process with talaqqi and sima^ methods. In Ma^had Aly that applies the talaqqi qira^at sab^ah method, the teacher who lis-tens is the pesantren caregiver or his family.

Online Child Sexual and Exploitation Abuse dan Gender Violence in Social Media: An Analytical Approach
Mayadina Rohmi Musfiroh, Amrina Rosyada

Universitas Islam Nahdlatul Ulama^ Jepara

Abstract

This article aims to uncover the factors that cause a person to commit gender-based violence on social media and how strategies to overcome it use iceberg analysis and psycho-religious approaches. This article uses iceberg analysis to reveal patterns and trends, system structures and mental models that cause gender-based violence on social media to become rampant. This article uses qualitative data collection through observation, interviews and document studies, with a case study approach. This article finds that first, the perpetrator of violence uses his power to control or oppress the victim, to maintain or strengthen the gender hierarchy. Second, the factors that cause someone to commit gender-based violence on social media from an iceberg perspective include the normalization of gender-based violence in the real and digital world, the number of perpetrators of gender-based violence on social media who do not get legal consequences or social sanctions. Structurally-systemically, gender-based violence is caused by the lack of literacy related to KGBO to the younger generation, the internalization of religious values is not optimal, patriakhi culture, and the slow handling of victims of online gender-based violence in the realm of legal assistance. From the mental aspect of the model, the perpetrators want to show strength and dominate the victim to strengthen the gender hierarchy. Third, the strategy of preventing and dealing with KGBO uses a psycho-religious approach through parenting patterns in the family to prevent and deal with the problem of gender-based violence. By combining psychological techniques with spiritual or religious principles, it can offer a more holistic and in-depth solution to build self-awareness to avoid the desire to become a perpetrator of violence and reduce the impact of gender-based violence on social media for victims and support the recovery and well-being of individuals, both victims and perpetrators

Knowledge And Awareness Of Police Towards Social Disaster: A Case Study Of Potential Conflict Identification
Risnan Aldino 1*, Rina Suryani Oktari 2, Nishi Yoshimi 3

Graduate Program in Disaster Science, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, Indonesia

Abstract

In Indonesia, the role of Bhabinkamtibmas (community police officers) is particularly important in preventing social conflicts from escalating into larger crises. Despite the guidelines outlined in Peraturan Kapolri (Chief of Police Regulation) No. 8/2010, significant gaps have been identified in officers^ knowledge and practical application of these protocols. This study evaluates the knowledge and awareness of Bhabinkamtibmas in Banda Aceh regarding the identification of potential social conflicts, which is essential for effective social disaster management. Quantitative, survey, Chi-Square, and ANOVA. No significant association between years of experience and knowledge categories among officers and difference in average knowledge scores across experience groups. There is a clear need for targeted training programs aimed at less experienced officers to enhance their conflict identification skills early in their careers. Enhanced training and mentorship programs, institutionalizing knowledge creation mechanisms, community-police collaboration, incorporation of technology in conflict identification, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks

Abstract

Environmental damage in Indonesia is currently increasing, this occurs due to environmental pollution from domestic and industrial activities. To reduce the impact of even greater damage, the government issued government regulation (PP) No. 59 of 2917 concerning the Implementation of Sustainable Development Achievement (TPB) and in 2021 the government issued government regulation No. 22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management. This government regulation is a guideline for environmental protection from both domestic and industrial activities and others.

In line with regulations issued by the government, the lean manufacturing approach seeks to improve product quality to suit consumer demand (Customer-Driven) by eliminating 7 wastes in the production process such as excessive movement in the production process, waiting time, excessive production, disability, inventory and transportation (C Ramune and V Milita, 2012). While the Green manufacturing approach aims to create environmentally friendly products by preventing and reducing impacts on the environment in the production process through clean production, efforts can be made to prevent and reduce waste with the 1E4R (Elimination, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recovery/Reclaim) strategy (UNEP, 1999), which was then adopted in 2003 by the Ministry of Environment and policy. The main principles in the clean production strategy in the National Clean Production Policy are outlined in the 5R (Re-think, Re-use, Reduce, Recovery and Recycle). It is hoped that the combination of these 2 approaches will become an indicator and implementation in efforts to create quality and environmentally friendly products, especially in the FurnituristiQ production house as a case study in this research.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of green intellectual capital (GIC) and pro-environmental behavior (PEB) on the economic and social performance of Indonesian SMEs, highlighting the mediating role of environmental performance (EnP). Data were gathered from 645 owners, directors, and managers across various industries in Indonesia. Small firms were defined as those with annual sales between IDR 300 million and IDR 2.5 billion, while medium-sized firms had annual sales of IDR 2.5 billion to IDR 50 billion. The analysis used partial least squares structural equation modeling (SEM-PLS). Results indicate that GIC and PEB significantly enhance EnP, which in turn directly improves economic and social performance. EnP also mediates the relationship between GIC, PEB, and business outcomes, demonstrating its critical role as a pathway for sustainable success. This study contributes to the Intellectual Capital theory by showing that effectively managing GIC enables firms to execute sustainable strategies that enhance environmental, economic, and social performance. It also provides empirical evidence that PEB is impactful not only in large firms but also in SMEs, aligning with Stakeholder Theory and the Natural-Resource-Based View, which link green practices to improved business outcomes. These findings offer valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners in promoting sustainable business models and advancing the role of SMEs in achieving environmental and economic sustainability.
