Study of the Needs of Using Bilingual Books to Improve Science and English Literacy in Elementary School Students Universitas Islam Nahdhatul Ulama Jepara Abstract Science education at the elementary level often faces challenges, especially in abstract topics such as magnetism, electricity, and technology. This study aims to analyze the need for using bilingual books to improve elementary students^ science literacy and English proficiency. A qualitative descriptive method with a survey approach was applied, involving 4 teachers and 40 students from four elementary schools in Jepara Regency. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed descriptively. The findings indicated that 70% of students faced difficulties understanding science concepts, while 80% showed great interest in interactive learning materials. Additionally, 75% of teachers supported the use of bilingual books to enhance both science and English literacy. However, varying levels of English proficiency among students posed a challenge. In conclusion, bilingual books hold significant potential for improving elementary students^ literacy in science and English, provided teachers are well-trained and the language used matches students^ proficiency levels.
