Making Audiovisual-Based Flashcard Media for Improving Understanding of Sex Education for Elementary School Children UNISNU JEPARA Abstract Sex education needs to be integrated into the world of education because of the increasing cases of sexual harassment caused by a lack of understanding about sex from an early age. At the partner school, namely SD IU Fadlun Nafis, there are problems with elementary school children^s behavior, including joking that leads to pornographic words and verbal bullying. Apart from that, teachers also have not utilized digital learning media in the teaching and learning process. Therefore, accompanying activities to create audio-visual based flashcard media are proposed as a solution to increase students^ understanding of sex education. Teachers are expected to increase creativity in providing learning media, especially those related to sexuality. The method used in this service includes five stages, namely socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring, and sustainability. The evaluation results show that partners feel capable of developing competence in creating innovative learning media for early childhood. Apart from that, sex education is important to teach to elementary school children, as many as 93.75% of couples agreed with this statement. The need for media was also approved by partners at 81.25%, and the importance of innovation in learning was also supported. The implementation of audio-visual based flashcard media by partners and the service team obtained results of 93.75%, which shows that audio-visual flashcard media is suitable for sex education material for elementary school children.
