Abstract

Stress from using digital learning media is a major challenge in today^s education, especially with the rise of online learning in response to social and technological changes. This digital stress can be caused by various factors, such as increased workloads, lack of social interaction, and fatigue from prolonged use of digital devices. One approach that has attracted attention is the internalization of the values of lillahi ta^ala, which teaches students to view every activity, including digital learning, as a form of worship and devotion to God. This approach can provide inner peace and help individuals manage stress in a more positive and meaningful way. This study aims to examine how the application of lillahi ta^ala values in the context of digital learning can reduce stress in students. The novelty of this study lies in the effort to integrate spiritual values into digital learning practices, which is increasingly needed in this digital and stressful era. Using qualitative methods through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, this study identifies the impact of internalizing spiritual values on students^ mental and emotional well-being. It is hoped that this research can provide insights and practical recommendations for educators to create a learning environment that not only focuses on academic aspects, but also pays attention to the holistic well-being of students, both mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Women in the Eyes of Women: Gender Bias in Qur^anic Interpretation by Female Preachers in the Digital Sphere
Ahmad Muttaqin, Ida Afidah, Nia Kurniati

Faculty of Da^wah, Universitas Islam Bandung

Abstract

This article focuses on analyzing the phenomenon of gender bias in the interpretation of the Qur^an in da^wah content delivered by female preachers. This phenomenon is important to examine in order to understand how female preachers view the position of women with bias, using verses on gender relations as legitimacy. This paper employs three theories simultaneously: critical discourse analysis (CDA), textual-semi-textual-contextual-decontextual typology in interpretation, and feminism. The article aims to explain the construction of gender bias by female preachers in interpreting verses on gender relations, the factors underlying their gender-biased interpretations, and the digital community^s response to gender-biased interpretations delivered by female preachers. The findings show that most female preachers tend to use textual and semi-textual approaches, neglecting the socio-historical context of the verses, which results in the reinforcement of patriarchal ideologies such as female subordination, stereotyping, marginalization, and symbolic violence. These biases are rooted in the limited exposure to progressive interpretive methods and the internalization of traditional patriarchal norms. Moreover, the reception of biased interpretations among female audiences is generally passive, influenced by the authority of religious discourse. Theoretically, this study contributes to the expansion of Qur^anic interpretive typologies, introducing the concept of decontextual interpretation, and deepens the critical discourse approach to gendered religious communication in digital spaces. It underscores the need for transformative gender-sensitive training among female preachers and suggests that digital da^wah must be reoriented to promote gender-equitable Islamic discourses.

The Role of Whistleblowing System in Supporting Forensic Accounting for Disclosing Financial Fraud
Reksa Jayengsari

Master of Accounting Bandung Islamic University

Abstract

Financial fraud is a serious threat to the integrity and accountability of organizations, both in the public and private sectors. In this case, the violation reporting system allows for early detection of potential fraud through the involvement of all elements of the organization, meaning that a whistleblowing system is needed by the company to prevent fraudulent acts. Whistleblowing systems and forensic accounting are becoming increasingly important in efforts to uncover and prevent fraud. How the whistleblowing system supports forensic accounting in disclosing financial fraud is examined conceptually in this study. This research was conducted by collecting and analyzing various scientific sources, such as journals, academic articles, and official institutional reports over the past five to ten years. This method is known as literature study. The results of the study show that the whistleblowing system functions as an early warning system that can trigger forensic accountants to conduct investigative audits. Factors such as whistleblower protection, organizational culture, and management commitment to follow up on reports greatly influence the performance of the whistleblowing system. Challenges and obstacles to implementing a whistleblowing system include fear of retaliation, lack of trust in the reporting system and minimal follow-up on whistleblower reports. Therefore, cooperation between forensic accounting and whistleblowing can improve the internal control system and increase the transparency and accountability of company finances. This study not only provides theoretical contributions to the development of forensic reporting and auditing systems, but also provides a basis for future empirical research

Abstract

Traditional medicine is part of a long-established medical system within Indonesian society and is recognized by the state through various regulations. However, its use in modern medical services in hospitals remains limited due to the lack of clear and synchronous technical regulations. This study aims to analyze the urgency of establishing comprehensive traditional medicine regulations to support the integration of traditional therapies into hospital service systems. Using a juridical-normative approach, this study maps existing legal instruments, such as Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health, Government Regulation No. 103 of 2014, and Minister of Health Regulation No. 15 of 2018, and identifies practical implementation barriers. The results indicate that hospitals lack a sufficient legal and medical framework to provide traditional medicine-based services safely, scientifically, and accountably. Barriers include regulatory disharmony, the lack of a national formulary for traditional medicines, resistance from the medical profession, and the lack of an adequate oversight system. Therefore, a legal strategy is needed through the creation of new, integrative and applicable regulations, training for healthcare personnel, a side effect reporting system, and accommodation within the National Health Insurance (JKN) system. The legal and professional integration of traditional medicine in hospitals will provide a broader range of therapeutic alternatives for patients and encourage a more inclusive healthcare system based on local wisdom.

Abstract

The use of the internet is not limited to accessing information through social media, but can also be used as a means of conducting commercial transactions that have been introduced in Indonesia, namely e-commerce. E-commerce (electronic commerce) is part of e-business (electronic business) that involves the buying and selling of goods/services via the internet as a platform that brings together sellers and buyers. As electronic commerce transactions increase among the public, the potential for consumer disputes in electronic commerce transactions also rises. The existence of electronic contracts (e-commerce) offers practical and efficient business practices for both parties-sellers and buyers-and enables the convergence of numerous parties from different regions into a borderless, unrestricted platform, making it highly popular among the public today. How is the resolution process carried out if there is a problem with an online transaction between a seller and a consumer? The research method used is normative legal research that examines the legal principles and regulatory principles in e-commerce transactions. The research findings indicate that breaches of contract by one party in electronic transactions (e-commerce) still frequently occur. In terms of dispute resolution, the approach still follows the theory of dispute resolution in society, namely through Lumping it, Avoidance, and Negotiation. Generally, dispute resolution is conducted through litigation and non-litigation methods. The focus of this research is to discuss and find effective solutions for resolving disputes that arise between consumers and sellers in online transactions, as well as to understand and optimize legal protection for consumers.

Abstract

In the era of Industry 4.0, Malaysian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) face increasing pressure to balance operational efficiency with environmental responsibility in line with both market demands and regulatory expectations. This study introduces the concept of Sustainovation-the fusion of sustainability and innovation-within the domain of smart inventory management. By leveraging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cloud-based systems, the research investigates how SMEs can shift from conventional inventory methods to eco-friendly, data-driven practices. A mixed-methods approach is adopted, comprising surveys with 150 SMEs, interviews with 20 experts, and three in-depth case studies. Findings suggest that adopting smart inventory solutions can reduce excess stock by up to 35%, minimize waste by 25%, and cut logistics-related carbon emissions by approximately 18%. However, barriers including high implementation costs (reported by 68% of SMEs), lack of technical expertise (54%), and limited digital infrastructure remain significant. From a legal perspective, the study also highlights the growing importance of compliance with Malaysia^s Environmental Quality Act 1974, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policies, and the Twelfth Malaysia Plan^s sustainability targets, which increasingly compel SMEs to integrate green practices. The research offers a strategic framework that combines technological innovation with legal compliance, enabling SMEs not only to enhance competitiveness but also to align with national sustainability regulations and international environmental standards.

Faculty of Technology Management and Technoprenuership, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka

Abstract

In today^s highly competitive manufacturing landscape, firms are under constant pressure to reduce operational costs, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. This study investigates the impact of the Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory system on cost efficiency, with particular focus on its integration with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model as a hybrid approach to inventory management. While JIT emphasizes minimizing stock levels and eliminating waste, EOQ provides a structured method for determining optimal order sizes to balance holding and ordering costs. This research examines whether the combined application of JIT and EOQ offers a more cost-effective strategy compared to adopting each model independently. A quantitative research design is employed, targeting medium and large-scale manufacturing firms in developing economies, with Malaysia as the main context. The data collection is conducted through structured surveys, and statistical analysis is applied to assess the relationship between hybrid inventory strategies and cost efficiency. The findings are expected to demonstrate that integrating JIT and EOQ are not only reduces inventory-related costs but also enhances productivity and responsiveness to customer demand. The study contributes practical insights for manufacturing managers seeking to strengthen competitiveness and provides a framework for policymakers and academics advancing inventory optimization strategies in emerging markets.

Abstract

English is the world^s primary and most spoken language, making it increasingly necessary, demanded, and expected in careers and education. However, the 2018 PISA results indicate that the Philippines has lost ground since there are existing problems that pertain to the comprehension of the students that have resulted in low English proficiency tests. While the educational materials may be uninteresting and uninspiring as one reason for this demise, using the English movie can/may increase the English performance of young learners. This study aimed to determine and analyze the Pre-service teachers^ (PSTs) critics of the movie Lilo and Stitch: Reflecting on Movie Integration in Teaching Children^s English Language. The researchers used a multi-phase qualitative design. Phase 1 required participants to watch Lilo and Stitch. Phase 2: Participants completed their modular coursework activities following the movie, and the researchers analyzed the data from the 145 modules through a document review. Phase 3: Interviews with 12 PSTs who participated in the FGD were conducted to support and validate the module^s responses. The researchers utilized thematic analysis to highlight PSTs^ attitudes, reviews, perceptions, and acquired values towards the movie.

The results suggest that PSTs gained a positive outlook and anticipation about the film^s visual and aural features functioning together to assist comprehension and inculcate values. They see sensitive and superfluous movie elements that require adult supervision and acknowledge that the movie^s comprehensible language and relatable character storyline have the potential to immerse children in authentic language environments and are considered a key component in language instruction and an alternative to supporting children^s social and emotional needs. They perceived the movie as beneficial since it provides a rich learning environment for children to expose themselves to and acquire fundamental vocabulary and forms of communication to help boost their comprehension and language skills. They also recognize how the movie introduces valuable lessons linked to the language acquisition process, such as essential values for teaching children English as vital in the motivation process. It is recommended that movie integration be done by selecting a relevant movie and leveraging its elements to fill the gaps in preparing children to cope with the demands of the English language.
