Population aging in Indonesia presents significant challenges to the national healthcare system, particularly concerning the increased demand for more complex healthcare services for the elderly, such as chronic disease management. This study uses secondary data analysis from reliable sources such as Indonesian statistics and academic journal articles to explore the impact of population aging on Indonesia^s healthcare system. The analysis used descriptive and comparative approaches to identify Indonesia^s healthcare system^s leading trends and challenges in addressing population aging. The study results indicate that access to healthcare services for older people remains limited, particularly in remote areas, due to unequal healthcare personnel and facilities distribution. Although up-and-coming, community-based programs like ^Posbindu Lansia^ must be fully optimized for implementation. Additionally, regional disparities in healthcare access and quality exacerbate interregional inequalities. In conclusion, Indonesia needs to strengthen primary healthcare services, enhance workforce capacity, and improve facility distribution to address the challenges of population aging. Reforms in healthcare financing and infrastructure development in rural areas are also crucial to ensure the sustainability of elderly healthcare services.
