Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop an authentic HOTs-based table tennis course assessment instrument using a Web-based CBT application. The approach and method used to achieve these objectives were qualitative and quantitative approaches with the Borg and Ghall research and development model. The subjects of this study were students of the Physical Education Study Program for Recreation who were taking table tennis courses, the number of subjects for the small trial was 30 people and the large trial was 90 people. The location of the study was carried out at the Sports Building of the Faculty of Sport Science, Unimed. The research data collection technique used tests and questionnaires.
The results of the study were seen from the results of expert validation tests, small-scale field trials and large-scale field trials. The results of the expert validation test on the web-based CBT assessment were in the very good category with a percentage of 84%. Then the small-scale field trial showed that the web-based CBT assessment was in the feasible category with a percentage of 85%. And for the large-scale field test, it showed that the web-based CBT assessment was feasible to use with a category of 89%.
Based on the results of the study, the web-based CBT assessment can be used as an assessment tool to measure the level of student understanding of table tennis material.
