Abstract
As part of community service, the Faculty of Psychology Education, State University of Jakarta (UNJ) implemented a community service program in Pasir Tanjung Village, Tanjungsari District, Bogor Regency. This program aims to improve achievement motivation of Islamic Boarding School students through Achievement Motivation Training (AMT). Based on initial observations, it was found that achievement motivation among students was still low. AMT training, developed by McClelland in 1960, aims to increase an individual^s internal drive to achieve success. This program includes goal setting, use of feedback, increased personal responsibility, and curiosity about new situations. In addition to helping with learning success, AMT is also useful in facing life^s challenges and achieving goals. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the program was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests to measure the impact of this training. It is hoped that AMT training can reduce Boarding School Syndrome which is often experienced by students, as well as improve the welfare of the Pasir Tanjung Village community as a whole.
