Abstract

Semat Beach has an Interactive Learning Zone, which includes a play area and a literacy corner, designed to attract families and children. This study aimed to investigate the community^s perception on this implementation, its benefits, and its role in promoting child-friendly tourism. The study used a qualitative approach with questionnaires, gathering responses from the community of Semat Village. The results showed that 89% of community supported the play zone^s implementation, while 84.5% agreed on adding the literacy corner. The community believed that these zones can help boost the local economy and provide educational benefits for children. However, there were challenges, such as poor waste management, inadequate facility maintenance, and limited local involvement in managing the zones. This study recommends involving the community, improving waste management, maintaining facilities, and promoting sustainable tourism.
