Abstract
Bullying remains a critical issue in pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), adversely affecting students^ mental health and social dynamics. This research aims to develop a story-based augmented reality (AR) application to prevent bullying, employing the Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) as its framework. The study integrates culturally relevant narratives with AR technology to create an engaging and interactive learning experience, fostering empathy and enhancing students^ conflict resolution skills. The ADDIE model guides the development process: (1) Analysis identifies bullying behaviors and user needs through surveys and interviews with educators, students, and psychologists- (2) Design involves creating storyboards and AR prototypes aligned with Islamic values and pedagogical principles- (3) Development focuses on producing the AR application and refining it through expert validation. Results demonstrate that the AR application enhances students^ understanding of bullying^s consequences and encourages pro-social behaviors. The findings underscore the ADDIE model^s utility in systematically designing impactful educational interventions, providing a scalable framework for addressing bullying in pesantren and similar educational settings.
