Monitoring Daily Variation of Microclimate Inside the Tourism Cave (Case Study of Senen Cave, Purwodadi Village, Tepus District, Gunung Kidul Regency)

Abstract

This research was conducted in a karst area with the title Daily Variations of Microclimate in Tourist Caves (Case Study of Senen Cave, Purwodadi Village, Tepus District, Gunung Kidul Regency). The aim of this research is to (1) map Senen Cave (2) analyze temporal variations in the microclimate of Senen Cave. The method used uses the case study method. The sampling method uses a purposive sampling method for microclimate and a forward method developed by BCRA is used for cave mapping. Analysis of the results in the research using spatial analysis was used to analyze the morphometric shape of the cave and comparative analysis was used to determine variations in the microclimate of Senen Cave. The results of this research are (1) a map looking at the top of the Senen cave and getting a morphometric description of the cave. The surface area of the cave is around 1165 square meters, 12 meters high and 61 meters long which has been mapped, as for the ornaments found such as flowstone, stalactites, stalagmites, dreperies and pillar (2) Factors that influence the microclimate of caves during natural conditions, namely during the day when sunlight enters directly into the cave. The presence of human activity in the cave greatly influences the microclimatic conditions in Senen Cave.
