Analysis Of Active Male Participation In Family Planning Programme In Central Java Rohmayanti, Soetrisno, Agung Wibowo, Haryani Saptaningtyas

Abstract
Active participation of men in family planning programmes is still low, at less than 5%. Similarly, there was a significant decline in Central Java in 2019 during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to provide an overview of the percentage of active male participation in family planning programmes in Central Java in 2018-2020. Data collection uses secondary data, namely data from the Central Java Provincial Statistics Agency for 2018-2020. The data was processed using Excel to get a percentage with the following formula: n = (value 1/comparator value) * 100%. Value 1 is the number of male family planning participants (condoms and vasectomy), the comparison value is the number of PUS participating in active family planning. Results: the percentage at the Central Java Province level has decreased from 3.4% in 2018 to 3.1% in 2020. Regarding the percentage of male family planning participants in districts and cities in Central Java in 2018, the highest percentage was 13.34% in Surakarta City and the lowest was 0.60% in Brebes Regency. In 2019, the highest percentage was Surakarta City at 5.97% and the lowest was Brebes Regency at 0.33%. In 2020, the highest percentage was in Magelang city at 15.54% and the lowest was Brebes district at 0.90%. Conclusion: In general, the percentage of active male participation in family planning in Central Java is still low. It is necessary to intervene in districts or cities where the percentage is still below 5%.
