Abstract
Introduction:Miscarriage is a common issue experienced by pregnant women, affecting 10-25% of clinically recognized pregnancies in developed countries. This can lead to sadness, grief, depression, and trauma, leading to involuntary childless experiences.
Aim: This study aimed to identify the psychological impact of women who have miscarriages and those without children.
Method: The research was conducted using a literature review method, identifying 234 articles from 2018-2023. Database used Scopus, Science Direct, Google scholar.The keywords in this review literature are adjusted to Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) and consist of the following ^the psychological effect of pregnancy loss, woman childfree, Mental health of pregnancy loss among women, psychological effects of miscarriage on mothers, women without children, mental health impact on mothers who miscarry^
Results: The results showed that women who lost children or did not want children experienced psychological problems such as depression, sadness, and traumatic experiences.
Conclusion: The study concluded that women without children experience fear and traumatic experiences related to pregnancy and childbirth, influenced by various factors, including reproductive problems, which are the biggest stressors for women.
