Abstract
Industrial estates, in particular, must not only be managed with a focus on extraction and profit, but must also pay attention to the socio-economic impacts of the community. The purpose of this study is to analyse the socio-economic characteristics of industrial estates in West Sumbawa Regency, Indonesia. Sumbawa Barat, Indonesia. This study uses quantitative research with a survey method that takes samples from a number of populations and uses questionnaires as the main data collection tool. The population in this study was 1701 households. determining the sample of respondents using purposive ramdom sampling technique. The distribution of respondents at the research location is based on purposive ramdom sampling. The analysis used to test these objectives uses frequency analysis and cross tabulation. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of the industrial area community are measured using gender, marital status, education and type of work. Based on the distribution of gender characteristics, the highest number of women reached 63.6 percent, the highest number of married marital status reached 84.9 percent, the highest number of 70.9 percent had elementary school education, the highest number reached 34.5 percent. earning a living as a farmer. Characteristics of the community at the centre Industrialised communities are still limited in their access to economic welfare.
