Abstract
The significant role of local wisdom in preserving both humanity and environment is increasingly threatened by modernization and globalization. This phenomenon contributes to the deterioration of human and environmental well-being. An example of local wisdom is found in Tri Hita Karana concept, which contains noble values essential for achieving sustainability. This issue holds significance for examination due to the existing body of investigations emphasizing the need to integrate concept for enhanced sustainability. Therefore, the current study aimed to comprehensively investigate and analyze local wisdom inherent in Tri Hita Karana. Insights were drawn from previous explorations on its applications across various scientific fields, particularly within organizations and companies with a substantial impact on sustainable development. A thorough literature review methodology was employed, for seventy-six papers, published between 2011 and 2022, were meticulously selected from Scopus based on the keywords ^Tri Hita Karana^ and ^sustainability^ for in-depth review. The study identified the latest developments in sustainability field and drew on perspectives from prior studies. Based on these results, the study presented suggestions for potential directions for future investigation. Consequently, the insights from this study underscored the effectiveness of concept as a valuable indicator for enhancing sustainability across social, economic, and environmental dimensions.
