Abstract
Internship is an integral part of vocational education. Educational partnership with Industries has paramount importance in providing the internship program for the students especially for the Civil Engineering Department. Field experience must be obtained by the students which cannot be given through classroom learning. Therefore, this study is aimed at exploring the challenges and opportunities in Industrial Internship during the emancipated learning era. The students who has underwent internship for six months for the emancipated learning internship became the respondents for the study. This study used descriptive approach in exploring the challenges and opportunities in Industrial Internship. This study showed that students had more opportunities in obtaining industrial level experience during the emancipated learning era. However, the students were demanded more on their readiness in keeping up with the industrial skill demands.
