The research entitled ^Modeling and Simulation of Flow Through the Construction of River Closing Embankments: A Case Study of the Sei Wampu Dam, Langkat Regency, Indonesia^ is a very interesting research topic. for that I want to ask how to validate the model and simulation that has been designed? to have a solid foundation.
Thank you

To validate the models and simulations that have been designed, namely by
comparing the results of the running model with measurement data in the field. The
data being compared is data on the velocity of the Wampu river. Due to not having
flow velocity data in the field, validation was carried out using previous research
literature by comparing discharge data. Where in previous studies the minimum
discharge in the Wampu River in 2010 was 80 m3/s (M.A Tamin Siregar, et all 2020)
and the minimum discharge used in this model was 139.10 m3/s in 2020. has
increased from before, it can be caused by high intensity of rainfall, land use and so
on. So this model can be concluded as valid because it uses existing data in the
Wampu river basin.
based on the graph of the relationship of moment of inertia to velocity in the PSDA report, it
is stated that to move an 8 leg block it ranges from 6.4 to 12 m/s. and the results of the
Hecras model, the speed in scenario 2 is 2.48 m/s so it^s safe to use
