Question & Answer to the Presentation

Question from Mr. Heru Supriyono

Dear authors,
Was the designed system tested in actual chicken coop ?
thank you very much.

we made a miniature cage with a scale of 1:8 (3rd slide)
I show the picture on 5th slide

Question from Mr. Agus Supardi

Is it possible to expand your prototype so that it can be remotely monitored? What
components are necessary for its development?

we use thingspeak to collect the data and a simple android app to read the data. as
long as the device is connected to the internet, data from sensors will always be
sent to thingspeak via NodeMCU. data on thingspeak can be processed for further
purposes

Question from Mr. Anis Arendra

Can you explain a little about sensor calibration and signal conditioning that might
be applied?
Then how to implement a control system from an eighth-scale model to full-scale?
given that the system dynamics of the model are very different from the real system
dynamics.

that^s right sir.
Our sensor calibration takes values from several previous similar studies, the results
still get an error value of 2.14%.
for implementation in real coops are actually have a lot of problems. therefore we
use small cages with the number of chickens that we adjust (1/8 of the real capacity
of the cage).
the real coops requires more sensors and blowers. more research is needed on the
accuracy of data from multiple sensors. blowers in the original cage can be replaced
with a larger size or by increasing the number of blowers.
