Question & Answer to the Presentation

Question from Mr. Andreas Prasetyadi
2022.12.21 14:34:49

People need a stove which is practical. It can be turned on and off easily. Does your
stove provide such character?

Regarding the efficiency, what is the most significant factor in doing so?

it can be turn on easily but to turn off we need to wait until the fuel runs out.

based on this research insulation becomes an important factor.

Thank you Mr. Yotam

Question from Dr. Agri Suwandi

Prior to CFD analysis, what design method is used to generate the
selected design variant?

In general, we use product development methods based on engineering design
books, a systematic approach. To determine what needs to be developed there is a
planning & task clarification stage. We identify development needs based on design
principles for wood cook stoves. Found that things that can be developed is
insulation. Then we choose insulation materials that are on the market to be
compared with each other.

by Pahl & Beitz? Since the Pahl and Beitz method is so popular,
suggestions should be put in an abstract or method.

Thak You, Good Luck

yes by pahl & beitz.

Thanks for the suggestion, I^ll put it in the abstract

Question from Dr. FA. Rusdi Sambada
2022.12.21 14:17:31

So far, have these simulation results been validated experimentally? If it has been
validated by experiment, what is the percentage difference in results between the
CFD simulation and the experiment? Thank you

We^ve been experimenting with undeveloped wood stoves. we compare the
temperature at the output of the stove with the CFD results. the experimental
average temperature was 385.95 while the CFD was 374.91. the result is less than
10% difference
