1. In the data collection process, the information provided by the respondent
through a questionnaire sometimes does not show the opinion of the respondent
actually, this happens because sometimes there are differences in thinking,
assumptions and different understanding of each respondent.
2. In this study, it was not tested how much influence parental attachment has on
each aspect of moral intelligence. but in theory, the role of parents, especially
parental attachment is an important factor in instilling moral education in children
which then creates moral intelligence in children. Children can do what they think
is good and not good based on the principles and beliefs that children get from
their parents (integrity). Children can accept the results of the choices made and
are willing to admit mistakes (responsibility). children care about other people
who are experiencing difficulties (compassion). children can be flexible and
tolerant of mistakes (forgiving)
Based on previous theory and research, the interaction between parents and
children becomes harmonious when accompanied by quality attachment. Therefore,
the stronger the attachment between parents and children, the stronger the
relationship of mutual trust. Thus, it is very easy for parents to instill moral values ​-​-in
their children. As a result, children are more likely to accept and absorb the moral
values ​-​-given by their parents. This shows that the attachment between children and
their parents contributes to the process of forming moral intelligence in elementary
school-aged children.
1. integrity means that an individual can do what he thinks is good, and his
actions still follow the right path based on the principles and beliefs he has.
responsibility means the individual^s desire to accept all the results of the choices
made, admit mistakes and failures. compassion is caring for others and making
others respect and care when the individual is in trouble. Forgiving is an
individual willing to compromise with fault tolerance
2. The truth of the phenomenon described above actually happened at SMK
Taruna Karya 1 Karawang. The school reported that there was brawl behavior
between SMK Taruna Karya 1 Karawang and SMK Bina Karya 1 Karawang which
resulted in a victim losing his wrist. Another phenomenon is free sex in which
students who are having sexual intercourse are caught red-handed by school
guards. The school also reported that its students often violated the rules
enforced by the school such as skipping class, not wearing the appropriate
uniform. When it comes to aspects of moral intelligence, students of SMK Taruna
Karya 1 Karawang have not been able to adjust their behavior according to
universal human principles and have not behaved in the right and good way
which is marked by brawling behavior, free sex and drug abuse which has been
described above. The phenomenon of moral degradation that occurs at SMK
Taruna Karya 1 Karawang shows that students at the school experience moral
degradation which leads to problems of moral intelligence.
