Abstract
The need for petroleum continues to increase, and until now it is still supplied by the main sources of fossil and non-renewable fuels. Petroleum production, especially in old wells, is currently declining, so an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) method was developed in the form of chemical injection using surfactants.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pineapple peel eco enzyme concentration on middle emulsion
This is the laboratory study, using Eco Enzyme as a surfactant solution in salinity of 20000ppm and 40000ppm and concentration are 20%, 30%, and 40%. Phase behavior tests to find middle phase emulsion were carried out at a temperature of 60℃-.
The resulting middle phase emulsion was 2.5% at all concentrations with a salinity of 20000ppm. At a salinity of 40,000 ppm, concentrations of 20% and 40% resulted in a middle phase emulsion of 1.25%, while at a concentration of 30% it produced 6.25%.
Pineapple peel eco enzyme as a surfactant, capable of forming a stable middle-phase emulsion. The best middle phase emulsion at 6.25% was obtained from the surfactant composition eco enzyme at 40000 ppm salinity and 30% concentration
