Abstract
In the course of the COVID-19 epidemic, over a thousand separate pieces of research on this subject have been published in scholarly journals. In light of this, the purpose of the current study was to review and analyze the publishing trends in mental health literature, including the most frequently cited documents, productive countries, institutions, journals, authorship and collaboration, the most frequently used keywords, and funding bodies.
It was decided to conduct a bibliometric study, and data were obtained from the Scopus database. On November 31, 2022, the relevant data was collected, and 330 relevant records were imported. Bibliometric software known as VOS viewer was utilized in order to conduct the data analysis.
These articles were published in 6 different publications, and they were cited 6.267 times in total. United kingdom is the most influential country with the largest Citation Impact, although the United States of America came in first place with 61 articles. The International journal of Environmental research and Public Health is the best journal for studies pertaining to mental health since it has the highest citation impact and the highest number of published papers. The pattern of publications with multiple authors is now more common than publications with a single author.
The majority of the publications that were published about mental health care and COVID-19 were in the fields of medicine and nursing, according to the research that was conducted as a whole. This study is the first bibliometric investigation of its kind to be conducted in the field of mental health treatment in relation to COVID-19.
