Abstract
Since March 2020, all Indonesian universities have shifted their practice from face-to-face to remote teaching. The practice has been going on until now as the pandemics has not ended yet in Indonesia. The sudden shift uncovered the critical gap in lecturers^ technological competency for emergency remote teaching. This study aims to learn more about lecturers^ experiences during this crisis. Online survey was distributed to 210 lecturers mid-June 2021, and the responses were collected between June 15 and July 16, 2021. A number of insightful issues emerged from the data collected from the survey. Data analysis used descriptive statistics for the quantitative items and engaged in a thematic analysis following Braun and Clarke. The issues considered in the paper include the challenges they have been facing and their teaching preparation. Certain strategies need to address lecturers^ concerns. Lecturers^ training and the establishment of effective support structures for embedding safe, secure, and rewarding ERT are required. Once these issues have been addressed, lecturers can be more adaptive in any situations.
