Abstract

As it comes to our awareness, our world now is adjusting itself with the pandemic which one of the biggest things that must change is education. This research is aiming to find how the diffusion of human-machine communication has changed the teaching and learning activities in schools during the Covid-19 pandemic. Qualitative approach and case study are the methodology of this research. For data collection, interview and observation are the techniques. With teachers from 10 schools in South Jakarta as the resources, the result of this research has shown the changing in teaching and learning method due the limitation of interaction based on the government policy for mobilization limitation (PSBB and PPKM). All teachers from all type of schools (public and private) are forced to transform their teaching from conventional to technology basis but the process of transformation still need more time and more effort. Lots of challenges have raised such as the technology ability, the internet access, the technology media/tool, and the curriculum target. Mostly, the private schools^ teachers are able to adjust and apply the real Blended Learning compare with the public schools^ where they have found lots of obstacles including from the student^s side.
