Abstract

Mathla^ul Anwar University allocates funds to provide tuition assistance / scholarshscore to students whose parents are economically disadvantaged to pay for college, as well as to provide scholarshscore to students who have achievements, both in academic and non-academic fields. The scholarship assistance program must be carried out by referring to several principles, namely right on target, right amount, and on time. In order for the distribution of this scholarship to be right on target, the selection of prospective scholarship recipients will use the Fuzzy Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method. This method was chosen because it is able to select the best alternative from a number of alternatives, in this case the intended alternative is to determine prospective scholarship recipients with diverse backgrounds including parental income/salary in a month, number of dependents in a family, status of parents from the student who is the recipient of the relevant scholarship, the current semester^s achievement index value, and the student^s cumulative achievement index, each of which has criteria with different weights, this will certainly complicate decision making to determine effective solutions so that the scholarship award is right on target, in the right amount, and on time, as well as the process for selecting prospective scholarship recipients can be carried out easily and quickly accompanied by accurate data.
