Correlation Of English Vocabulary Level with Learning Behavior & Interest in Indonesia

Abstract

This research aims to discover & analyze the correlation between student^s English vocabulary level with the geographical location of their school. Another focus of the research is to understand how student^s learning behavior and interest might affect and correlates with their English vocabulary level. The research is a correlational study in which the data collection process utilizes a questionnaire which includes an English vocabulary level test to measure the respondent^s vocabulary level, and inquiring respondents learning behavior and interest. The result is that there is a positive relationship within closely located region, while the relationship is negative for regions that are farther apart. Meanwhile, the learning behavior and interest analysis showed a positive relationship when correlated with student^s vocabulary knowledge.
