Abstract
The pentahelix concept is a multi-stakeholder concept involving elements of the government, academia, business actors, the community or commodities, and the media is an ideal model in building collaboration to unify the vision for a new life (New Normal) in the current Covid-19 pandemic era. The pentahelix concept is ideally applied on a village-based basis. Gorontalo, especially Gorontalo Regency, which is an area affected by Covid-19, has made efforts through the establishment of an institution called the Covid-19 task force down to the village level.
The purpose of this research is to remap how the pentahelix concept should be implemented in the Covid-19 era, especially in the village that is the locus of research, namely Huntulohulawa Village, Bongomeme District, Gorontalo Regency.
The results of the study found that the practice of new normal life in dealing with new life in the Covid-19 era in Huntulohulawa Village, Bongomeme District, Gorontalo Regency had been carried out using village resources facilitated by the village government. However, in the course of the institution, it did not run optimally. It is recommended the need to strengthen existing institutions by using the Pentahelix Model in cultivating a new life in the Covid-19 era by uniting all components owned, namely local governments (Health Office to Public Health Centers, Sub-districts, TNI/Polri), business communities in villages, academics, media and society. Therefore, the most ideal concept is needed to be applied in cultivating the community in living a new life in all forms of community activities in the Covid-19 Era.
