Abstract
Abstract. Tourism is one of the businesses that has kept up with the advancement of ICT. The incorporation of ICT adoption with tourism generates the notion of Smart Tourism. Smart tourism is one of the most important aspects of smart city implementation. To effectively adopt smart tourism, we must first understand the fundamental components as well as the ICT trends that enable it. The purpose of this research is to give a systematic literature review (SLR) of smart tourism publications using the SLR technique.
A comprehensive understanding of smart tourism studies is required for the different components of smart tourism implementation. This study gathers, analyzes, and synthesizes pertinent smart tourism research published in online databases between 2015 and 2021. The 37 (thirty-seven) publications chosen for analysis were divided into 5 (five) categories based on the study questions: people, process enablers, technology, urban services, and results. This study presents five categories, each of which has 15 important components of smart tourism and the top ten ICTs adoption trends that support it. The findings give information that may assist build a knowledge of the smart tourism idea and can also advise the government as policymakers and tourist firms as stakeholders that strive to create and execute smart tourism concepts.
