Mekanisme Kerja Kandungan Daun Kersen
Masing-masing zat aktif dalam daun kersen memiliki mekanisme berbeda sebagai
antibakteri. Flavonoid mampu menghambat fungsi membran sitoplasma,
menghambat sintesis asamnukleat, danmenghambat metabolismeenergi. Saponin
dapat berikatan dengan lipopolisakarida, sehinggamengakibatkan permeabilitas
dinding sel meningkat. Permeabilitas yang terganggu menyebabkan keluarnya
berbagai komponen penting dari sel mikroba yaitu protein, asam nukleat,
nukleotida, dan lain-lain, sehingga sel bakteri akanmati (Sulaiman et al., 2017).
Saponin memiliki aktivitas antioksidan tinggi yaitu dapat menangkal radikal bebas
pada uji DPPH sebesar 80,2% pada 200 ppm dan mampu mengikat kolesterol sebesar
85,07% dibandingkan dengan gemfibrozil yang mengikat 74,83%(Ayu, Mahayani,
Bogoriani, & Bawa, 2019).
Flavonoid mampu menghambat aktivitas enzim HMG-CoA reduktase , sehingga terjadi
penurunan sintesis kolesterol dan kadar kolesterol dalam darah akan menurun(
Prahastuti et al 2011 dalam Winarsih dkk, 2017). Selain itu flavonoid juga dapat
menghambat absorbsi kolesterol di dalam usus, sehingga terjadi penurunan kadar
kolesterol. Absobrsi ini terjadi karena adanya kompleks flavonoid- kolesterol yang
bersifat tidak larut, kemudian berikatan dengan empedu dan membentuk misel
kemudian meningkatkan ekskresi feses(Olivera et al., 2007 dalam Winarsi,
Amurwanto, & Susilowati, 2017).
Daun kersen mengandung senyawa flavonoid, saponin, dan tanin yang
mempunyai daya antibakteri dan antiinflamasi (Sulaiman, Astuti, Dewi, & Shita,
2017).
Senyawa yang terkandung dalam daun kersen (M. calabura L.) dan diduga berperan
dalam penurunan kadar kolesterol adalah flavonoid dan saponin. Berdasarkan
penelitian sebelumnya, saponin dari ekstrak daun kersen dapat membantu
menurunkan kadar kolesterol serta mengurangi penimbunan lemak dalam pembuluh
darah dengan menurunkan tingkat absorpsi kolesterol dan meningkatkan ekskresi
(Lajuck, 2012 dalam Putri dkk, 2018).

thanks for the question. the control group was not given any intervention. For kersen
leaves and ginger and garlic, there are can lower cholesterol levels, but it is not yet known
which one is the effectiveness between kersen leaves and them because there is no
research to compare them.

male Wistar rats were randomized into 4 groups, including negative control (KN), positive
control (KP), EDK dose 1 (D1), EDK
dose 2 (D2). KN was given a normal diet, KP was given HF-HCD only, D1 was given HF-HCD
and EDK 250mg/kg body weight,
D2 was given HF-HCD and EDK 500mg/kg body weight. Feed and EDK were given once per
day. EDK was given using sonde
together with the feeding for 8 weeks. The results showed that there was a significant
difference (p<0,05) between KN and
KP in HDL cholesterol level. There was a significant difference (p<0,05) between KN and D1
in total cholesterol level. There
was a significant difference (p<0,05) between the KP and D1 at soluble ICAM-1 level. There
were significant differences
(p<0,05) between KP and D2 on total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and level of soluble
ICAM-1.

sebelumnya sudah ada penelitian yang melakukan eksperimen pada hewan uji yakni
pada 4 kelinci yang diberikan rebusan daun kersen dengan konsentrasi berbeda
didapatkan ada pengaruh pemberian rebusan daun kersen terhadap penurunan glukosa
dengan jumlah yang sesuai dengan konsentrasi yang diberikan.
Untuk mengontrol faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi, peneliti membuat buku harian
untuk responden, dimana buku harian tersebut mencantumkan jam tidur, aktivitas dan
pola makan sehingga peneliti dapat mengetahui faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kadar
kolesterol pada responden.

i am sorry mrs. Tiara, in here, for this study we did not make an extract but only
boiled 10 pieces of green cherry leaves with 200 cc of water, taken once a day every
day for 7 days

The type of research used in this study is a quasi-experimental study using a two-
group pretest-posttest design with a control group design, which consists of an
intervention group and a control group where the intervention group will be given an
action while the control group is only a comparison.
In this study, there were two groups, namely the intervention group and the control
group. At the time of the two groups pretest cholesterol levels will be measured. Then
the intervention group will be given cherry leaf decoction while the control group will
not. After that, the cholesterol levels were measured again in the intervention and
control groups (posttest). Furthermore, the results of the measurement of cholesterol
levels in the pretest and posttest in the two groups were compared. The comparison
results in the intervention group and the control group were compared so that it could
be seen the effect of cherry leaf decoction.
