SHARPENING STUDENTS^ EFFECTIVE SPEAKING AND WRITING COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO IMPROVE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN INTERNATIONAL FORUMS Universitas Islam Bandung Abstract Speaking and writing are important communication skills for students, especially in academic environments and international forums. These skills enable students to convey ideas clearly, regularly, and effectively. Good speaking skills are essential for success in seminars, conferences, and academic presentations, where diverse audiences expect clarity and accuracy. Likewise, writing skills are needed to produce theses, dissertations, journal articles, and other scientific papers. However, many students find it difficult to express their ideas effectively and innovatively in academic writing. To address this issue, the FIKOM UNISBA PKM-LN Team collaborates with AID Academy Malaysia, which specializes in scientific writing training and organizing international conferences. This collaboration aims to improve students^ scientific communication skills. The objectives of the PKM-KLN activity are: 1) to improve students^ scientific speaking and writing skills in international forums, 2) to build confidence in presenting academic work, and 3) to strengthen academic performance through effective and innovative communication. One of the objectives of developing PkM-KLN LPPM Unisba is to improve thinking, reading, and writing skills, as well as other essential skills (soft skills and hard skills), therefore it is very relevant if the PKM-KLN activities carried out for PkM student participants are in the form of workshop activities to hone speaking and writing skills with the hope that participants can improve communication effectively and innovatively, and the results will be realized in the form of an international seminar for student speaking skills.
