The Effect of Market Place Activity Learning Model Training on Improving The Teaching Skills of High School PAI Teachers in Bandung City Universitas Islam Bandung Abstract This research is based on the urgency of improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at the Senior High School (SMA) level, which still faces various challenges, such as learning approaches that tend to be conventional, less interactive-collaborative, and unable to stimulate active student involvement. Teachers as the spearhead of learning play a crucial role in creating an interesting, contextual, and meaningful learning atmosphere. Therefore, an effective training strategy is needed to improve the teaching skills of Islamic Religious Education teachers. This study aims to determine the effect of training on the Market Place Activity (MPA) learning model on improving the teaching skills of Islamic Religious Education teachers in Senior High Schools in Bandung City. The method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study involved 20 Islamic Religious Education teachers from various public and private high schools in Bandung City who participated in the training program. The main instrument was a teaching skills test given before and after the training. The results of data analysis showed an increase in the average score from 72.0 to 80.0. The paired t-test showed a t-value of 3.76 with a p-value of 0.0013 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of training on improving teaching skills. This finding confirms that participatory learning model-based training, such as the Market Place Activity, is effective in improving teaching quality and is relevant for implementation in the professional development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in high schools.
