Abstract

Exotic tourism can become a tourist destination that attracts tourists if it is well promoted and follows the development of the times. Tourism managers have an important role in organizing development strategies so that they can expose their advantages in a detailed, systematic and holistic manner. This research focuses on knowing the strategy and application of smart tourism conception as an effort in developing halal tourism on Camplong Beach and Lon Malang Beach in Sampang Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques with documentation, involved observation and in-depth interviews. The data analysis technique is to use phenomenological descriptive analysis. The result of this study is that the analysis of strategies based on the concept of smart tourism on Camplong Beach whose dominant element is the accessibility element, while the strategy of the other three elements (informativeness, interactivity, personalization) still has to be optimized in the future. While on Lon Malang beach, the four elements of smart tourism (informativeness, accessibility, interactivity, personalization) are running well and professionally so that it needs to be maintained and developed with an attractive design in four elements of smart tourism.
