Abstract

Flooding significantly impacts local industrial and economic activities. It has been shown to disrupt operations, cause worker absences, interrupt product delivery, damage facilities, and hinder raw material supplies. Dayeuhkolot District, located in Bandung Regency, covers about 448.6 hectares as an industrial area. This area, part of the downstream Citarum Hulu watershed, often experiences overflow floods from the Citarum River. The expansion of built-up land by 22 hectares over the past four years increases the potential for flood-affected zones. This study aims to identify flood-prone areas in the Dayeuhkolot industrial zone using a geographic information system (GIS) overlay method, which combines multiple spatial parameters to assess flood vulnerability. The analysis indicates that 61.2% (274.3 hectares) of the area in KPI Dayeuhkolot is quite prone to flooding, while 38.2% (171.9 hectares) is very vulnerable. Flood-prone zones are distributed across six locations: Jl Cibogo, Jl Cisirung, Jl Sekeandur, Jl Citarum, Jl Dayeuhkolot, and Jl Palasari. The area surrounding Jl Cibogo is expected to be most severely affected due to its large flood vulnerability zone, which could lead to substantial economic and social losses as the land use in this area includes industrial, commercial, and office spaces. To address this issue, implementing the Water Sensitive Urban Development (WSUD) approach should be considered.
