Abstract
In the digital era, the need for fast and easy access to information is constantly increasing. One way to address this need is by developing a Digital Dictionary. A bilingual digital dictionary has great potential to facilitate language learning and intercultural communication. In the healthcare sector, precise medical terminology is crucial for effective communication among medical professionals, patients, and other related parties. However, language differences often pose a barrier to the exchange of health information.
A Digital Bilingual Health Dictionary is one solution to overcome these obstacles. By leveraging information technology, a digital dictionary can provide quick and accurate access to translations of medical terms, thereby improving the quality of healthcare services and facilitating intercultural communication.
The objective of this research is to design and build an effective and efficient Digital Bilingual Health Dictionary. This digital dictionary is expected to help users better understand and use both languages. Furthermore, this research also aims to explore the potential of current technology in digital dictionary development.
This research utilizes the Research and Development (R&D) Method.
The vocabulary used for the dictionary consists of German and Indonesian, comprising 1100 mixed words, including nouns, verbs, and adjectives. The application used to design the digital dictionary is Dictionary App Builder.
