IMPLEMENTATION OF E-COMMERCE INVESTMENT POLICY IN MEDAN CITY Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan Abstract The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of e-commerce investment policies in the city of Medan. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection was carried out through structured interviews, observations, documentation studies, and focus group discussions. The key informants selected for the research are the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office, the Cooperatives, Industry, and Trade Office, as well as business actors. The data analysis technique was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found that the Medan city government has fully supported e-commerce investment policies. This is evident from the regulations that have been made by the government, namely the mayor^s regulation and regional regulation no. 4 of 2024 concerning the provision of incentives and investment facilitation. With that support, it can enhance the growth of e-commerce and startups in Medan City, as well as demonstrate a strong commitment to creating an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem. Through pro-investment policies, collaboration with national e-commerce platforms, provision of technological infrastructure, and strategic partnerships, the Medan City Government plays a crucial role in driving the growth of the e-commerce sector and enhancing the local economic competitiveness.
