Design and Development of an Adaptive Multi-Platform Mobile Learning Application Using Chaining Technique for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder a) Computer and Informatics Technology Education Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia 20221 Abstract Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often face difficulties in adapting socially and behaviorally in inclusive education settings. This study aims to design and develop an adaptive multi-platform mobile learning application using the chaining technique to support behavior modification for children with ASD. The research adopts the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model involving stages of concept design, material collection, system development, testing, and distribution. The application integrates visual, auditory, and interactive components to guide children through step-by-step behavioral tasks. Initial findings indicate that the system effectively supports adaptive behavior formation in daily routines. However, the study is limited by its small sample size and short testing period. The originality of this research lies in the integration of chaining-based behavior intervention into a mobile platform tailored for ASD learners, offering practical value for teachers and parents in implementing inclusive digital learning environments.
