Abstract

Abstract:
This study explores the roles of local governments (LGs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and communities in supporting environmental, social, and economic sustainability in Indonesia, focusing on empirical data from recycling centers over the period 2020-2023. The analysis shows fluctuations in the contribution of each actor. Initially, LG involvement dominates, but in the subsequent development, community participation increases significantly, especially in 2022. Nonetheless, there was a decline in community contribution in 2023, while the role of NGOs remained stable. The results of this study highlight the importance of synergy between government, NGOs, and communities in achieving a more holistic and sustainable sustainability in the recycling sector.
