Abstract

The main goal in making an investment is to increase wealth, adopt a frugal lifestyle, prosperity and future needs. One form of investment that is widely chosen is stocks. The capital market provides many kinds of indices, one of which is the LQ45 index which is the object of this research, because the stocks incorporated into the LQ45 index are selected stocks that have good performance and high liquidity as a result of selecting stocks that join the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The method used in the research is a quantitative approach, namely descriptive research methods. Based on the results of calculations using the Capital asset pricing model on stocks incorporated in the LQ45 index, not all listed stocks are optimal portfolio candidates.
