Abstract

This research aims to see how effective the use of the popular book Traditional Hair Care using coconut oil is in improving extra-curricular learning outcomes at SDN 03 Muara Gembong. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model. The effectiveness test in this research was used to determine whether or not there was a significant improvement after the learning process. This effectiveness test was analyzed using the normalized gain test to determine the magnitude of the increase in pretest and posttest scores. . The pretest result for knowledge about hair care using coconut oil was 52, while the posttest result was 78. After that, a trial was carried out during 1 direct meeting which took place on July 25 2024. There was an increase in student learning outcomes at SDN Negeri 03. Participants who had a pretest score of 73.85 while a posttest score of 82.20 experienced an increase in knowledge, then tested using the Praired Samples Test and obtained a Pvalue of 0.000, because the calculated Pv < &#945- (0, 05) or 0.000 < 0.05 then H0 is declared rejected. If seen from the results above it can be concluded that the aim of this activity was achieved. There is a significant difference between the pre test and the post test or there is a significant difference between the learning results before and the learning results after being given a popular book. This can be seen from the average value of the participants, there is an increase
