Abstract
Sukabumi located in West Java, Indonesia. The regional structure of the Sukabumi region is influenced by the convergence plate of the Eurasian and esat Indies Australia plates. The geological dynamic creates uniqueness and threat in the Sukabumi area. The uniqueness of the Sukabumi Region with the existence of the Cimandiri fault gives rise to the natural beauty that is considered to have potential as a geotourism area. Geotourism has needs to be maintained and preserve as Geological Nature Reserve Areas. The background of this research is the lack of public attention to the geotourism potential areas in Sukabumi. The study method of the study uses thematic map analysis with the overlapping method and the SWOT with scoring method at three study points at Cikundul, Santa Sea and Karang Para. The potential of GNRA is given weight considering the regulation of the regulation of the ESDM Resources no 32 of 2016. The result of this study includes development direction and Potential Maps of Geological Reserve in the Sukabumi Region, West Java Province. The research output is to provide development directions related to the utilization and protection of Cikundul, Santa Sea and Karang para geological uniqueness as a Geological Nature Reserve Area
