Abstract

Altplus is an MSME that operates in the field of photography and exhibitions, especially the sun print cyanotype technique. As the workshop progressed, Altplus had problems including wanting to innovate in introducing sun print cyanotype through the fashion sector because many of their workshop participants wanted the use value of the sun print cyanotype technique. This research aims to apply the sun print cyanotype dyeing technique on fabric to making women^s work clothes using the cyanotype dyeing technique at Altplus UMKM. This research method is based on qualitative exploration using Hasso Plattner^s Design Thinking approach which consists of empathize, define, ideate, prototype stages 1 and 2, as well as test stages 1 and 2. The results of the exploration of the sun print cyanotype coloring technique have the potential to be a new breakthrough in the field fashion and photography.
The final product of this research is a high fidelity prototype in the form of 3 sets of work clothes for women aged 22-28 years using the sun print cyanotype exploration technique which was made based on the needs of the target user. From the results of the exploration of the sun print cyanotype coloring technique, it can be concluded that the sun print cyanotype coloring technique can be used as a workwear collection for women aged 22-28 years with a feminine casual style and smart casual look.
