Enhancing ^Bandros^ city tour experience through digital media based on tour guide and gen Z tourist perspectives: a preliminary study (1,2,3) Institut Teknologi Bandung, Faculty of Art and Design, Master of Design, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, 40132. Abstract The tourism sector is a major contributor to Regional Original Income (PAD), with the Bandung Tour on Bus (Bandros) services playing a key role in Bandung. This study aims to explore the challenges faced by both tour guides and tourists during Bandros city tours and provide recommendations for enhancing the overall tourist experience. We employed a qualitative-descriptive methodology, utilizing purposive sampling and semi-structured interviews with four informants, including tour guides and tourists. The findings reveal that tour guides face difficulties such as diverse tourist backgrounds, traffic congestion, distractions, and noise. Tourists also report challenges that detract from their experience, including uncommunicative guides, repetitive content, an unconducive environment, and distractions from mobile devices. To improve engagement, tourists suggest incorporating interactive media and gamification systems to enrich the Bandros tour experience.
