Motif Design as a New Icon and Visual Identity to Realize Unisnu Jepara^s Excellence Tristan Alfian, Mahmudatus Sa^diyah

Abstract
UNISNU Jepara faces challenges in creating a unique and different visual identity from other institutions. The current visual identity may not reflect the richness of Jepara^s local culture or its deep Islamic character. With many universities competing to attract prospective students, having a visual identity that stands out and reflects UNISNU^s unique values ​-​-is essential. As an Islamic institution, it is important for UNISNU to show a strong Islamic identity in its visual design, which may not have been fully explored.
To increase industrial competitiveness, visual identity design is essential. Visual identity is the first face that will be recognized by the public when a brand appears on the surface. A strong and cohesive visual identity can increase UNISNU^s competitiveness at the regional and national levels, attracting more prospective students and collaborations outside the campus.
Creating a strong and unique visual identity by developing motif designs that reflect the richness of Jepara^s local culture and UNISNU Jepara^s Islamic values. This research is expected to be able to answer the existence of a new motif design for UNISNU Jepara in order to have its own visual identity that has a strong Unique Selling Preposition and Positioning value. The output of this research is in the form of a national journal sinta 6, the additional output is in the form of a new motif design for UNISNU Jepara.
